Formed in 2004, on the initiative of musicians Emiliano Sampaio (guitar), Gustavo Boni (bass) and André Luis (drums), the Meretrio recorded his first album in 2007. Continuing the spirit of the group, they invite Alexandre Oliveira (trumpet), Alessandro Ribeiro (trumpet), Andre Gomes (trombone), Ivan de Andrade (alto sax and clarinet), Marcelo Valezi (tenor sax) and Marcio Silva (baritone sax), forming the nonet Meretrio Project, which in 2012 released "Solo", his second album with this lineup. The compositions of Emiliano explore different aspects of instrumental music, Brazilian music, world and classical. In the words of conductor Roberto Sion, make "Music conscious, full of surprises, through Kurt Weill, Mingus middle, trying to break free from tyranny" jazz ", while creativity.
